Dryer housing transport from Poland to Kassel
On behalf of VetterTec, Speedlog transported two dryer housing sections from a steel fabricator in Grodek, Poland, to Kassel. Two specialist vehicles carried the oversized components to their destination in convoy.
Grodek lies around 120 kilometres south of Gdańsk. This was the starting point for the housing sections' journey of nearly 900 kilometres to northern Hesse.
Two housing sections, each around ten metres long
Each component measured approximately 10 metres long, 3.4 metres wide and 2.2 metres high. Their weights were 10 and 6 tonnes respectively.
Once the required official permits had been issued, the two housing sections were transported to Kassel in convoy on the specialist vehicles.
“For oversized plant components, vehicle selection, permits and the transport schedule need to work together. Careful coordination lays the groundwork for the components to reach their destination on time.”

Nearly 900 kilometres over two nights
The two specialist vehicles completed the route from Grodek to Kassel over two nights. The housing sections arrived at their destination on schedule.
The assignment combined the transport of two large components with a coordinated convoy journey covering nearly 900 kilometres.
Industrial dryers for a range of production processes
Industrial dryers are used in a variety of manufacturing processes. These include the agrifood and bioethanol industries, as well as the beverage and food industries, including breweries and the production of potable alcohol.
By transporting the two housing sections, Speedlog handled the movement of components for this industrial equipment on behalf of VetterTec.
