Speedlog was commissioned by Präwema Antriebstechnik GmbH to transport a 28-tonne precision milling machine to Italy. Its destination was Rivoli near Turin, where the machine was bound for Dana Graziano srl.
Protected from the weather throughout transport
Measuring 8.50 × 3.00 × 3.20 metres and weighing 28,000 kilograms, the machine required a suitable specialist vehicle. A width-adjustable, four-axle curtain-sided semi-trailer with an Edscha sliding roof was selected.
This allowed the milling machine to travel fully covered and protected from the weather. Two additional curtain-sided articulated trucks carried the extensive accessories.
“For a machinery transport of this scale, vehicle selection, loading and coordination must work together. Close cooperation between everyone involved is essential.”

From the production hall onto the specialist truck
A specialist machinery-moving crew used heavy-duty moving skates to bring the machine out of the production hall. The crew worked closely with Präwema’s dispatch team, drawing on their established cooperation.
A mobile crane then lifted the precision milling machine onto the specialist truck.
On-time delivery in Rivoli
The machine was delivered on time to Dana Graziano srl in Rivoli. The Italian recipient is a leading manufacturer of components for mechanical transmissions.
